We at Julius Baer are doing everything possible to enable our teams to live DevOps day in, day out. An important part of this effort is to equip our delivery teams with a state-of-the-art platform enabling them to build, test, release, deploy, operate and monitor our software in a secure and efficient way.

We are looking for a Platform Engineer for our Observability Platform product team. The product is part of an agile release train, focusing on optimizing and accelerating our application delivery teams' journey from idea to production.

YOUR CHALLENGEOwn the bank global observability platform, consisting of application performance monitoring, synthetic monitoring, and load and performance testing as a member of a product team
Manage the platform lifecycle from design to production
Closely collaborate with application teams: collect feedback and relentlessly improve the product offering
Drive the adoption of “monitoring-as-code” by building an API-first platform
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Good communication, planning and teamwork skills
Motivated to work in an agile team and commonly reaching ambitious goals

YOUR PROFILEProven track record in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience in working with modern observability platforms, collecting infrastructure and application metrics, defining threshold and alerts and dashboard visualization of monitoring information
Knowledge of open-source or commercial application performance management (APM)/observability products and standards like e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace and Open Telemetry
Experience as full-stack software or platform engineer with strong emphasis on Java or .NET/C#
Experience in cloud technologies and platforms with focus on Kubernetes and Azure
Experience with automated testing tools, including Playwright or k6, is a plus
