Qualifications

Possess a positive, can-do attitude, thrive on meeting deadlines, and demonstrate a solid work ethic and eagerness to learn and be part of a team. Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college degree program in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Systems Administration, or a related field (highly preferred). Excellent customer service skills. Strong problem-solving abilities, including the capability to explain technical solutions to non-technical users. Strong understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11. Experience with Microsoft 365 Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Strong analytical skills. Understands basic networking protocols such as DNS and TCP/IP. Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Salary is $20.00/hour.

Role Overview:

H.I.G. Capital is looking for a talented and customer service-oriented Service Desk Intern to join our IT team in our New York, NY office. This part-time internship lasts for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Working hours are between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and we will accommodate your class schedule, expecting a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, with the potential for more hours based on your availability. This is an onsite role requiring you to be in the office for your internship hours.
