References to KKR’s investments may include the activities of its sponsored funds and insurance subsidiaries.In 2016, KKR set up a Portfolio team to manage the trading performance of its global Private Credit, Private Equity & Private ABF books. The Portfolio Monitoring Unit (PMU) is responsible for the analysis of transaction data, financial modelling, deal optimisation and valuations. The ABF PMU team is based in Dublin and has since grown to 13 investment professionals across London, Dublin & Gurugram, with responsibility for circa 100 investments, operating across a wide range of sectors.
This is a consultancy role; however, the successful applicant will sit beside the ABF team in KKR’s Dublin office and will be a fully integrated member of the ABF PMU team. This is an open-ended engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Asset-Based Finance group with cross-sector but primarily consumer loan management
Making sure 3rd party investment reports & loan tapes are accurate. Troubleshoot cash and data issues with trading counterparties, trustees, servicers and middle office
Identify, analyse, and correct data discrepancies to ensure data integrity on the existing portfolio and produce reports to monitor portfolio performance. Analyse borrowing base calculations, application of monthly waterfalls and concentration requirements across individual deals and portfolios
Assist in designing standard operating procedures and requirements for supporting technology
Borrowing Base calculation/confirmation (both as borrower and lender).
Confirm collateral eligibility criteria, excess concentrations and performance tests
Work with Treasury and external counterparties on funding needs (both as borrower and lender).
Managing Cash & payment instructions
Assist with the monitoring and rebalancing as needed of deal interest rate and FX hedges
Updating performance metrics in KKR portfolio systems
Preparation of quarterly reviews and presentation to Investment Committee
Opportunity to take ownership of the portfolio monitoring and reporting on certain deals
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS
Circa 2-4 years relevant experience – ideally in a bank, specialist lender, asset manager or consultancy.
Ability to learn quickly and problem-solve on the job and determination to upskill in new asset classes
Strong academic background
Strong quantitative abilities – Good Excel skills are essential. Power BI /Tableau ability are useful (but not essential) skills
Commercial awareness and an understanding of financial statements and ABS structures is useful
Good report writing & presentation skills
