UK AI Firm Intelligent Core Raises £2M to Boost Industrial Automation

London, UK - Intelligent Core, a UK-based AI technology company, has secured £2 million in new funding to expand its industrial automation platform. The investment, led by Fuel Ventures, will help Intelligent Core deliver real-time, autonomous intelligence to critical sectors like energy, oil and gas, and manufacturing.

Intelligent Core's modular AI platform takes live data from sensors, equipment, and field environments, converting it into actionable insights for organizations facing rising costs, complex operations, and escalating sustainability demands. According to the company, its technology can help cut operational costs by up to 80% by enabling predictive maintenance, performance optimization, and smarter automation.

"Industrial organizations are under pressure to run more efficiently, safely, and sustainably, but they are limited by outdated tools and legacy systems," said Tom Greenlees, CEO of Intelligent Core. "We built our platform to give them real-time operational intelligence and autonomous decision-making capabilities."

The new funding follows a £500,000 round earlier this year and will allow Intelligent Core to further develop its cloud-based, edge-computing solutions for mission-critical industries. The company's technology is designed to work seamlessly across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments, delivering insights directly to remote and mission-critical parts of an organization.

Industry analysts say Intelligent Core's focus on industrial AI and automation comes at a crucial time, as companies grapple with supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, and pressure to improve environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.

"Intelligent Core is tapping into a growing need for advanced analytics and autonomous control in sectors that have historically been slow to adopt new technologies," said Michael Houlihan, a senior analyst at research firm Gartner. "Their ability to deliver real-time insights and decision-making at the edge could be a game-changer for energy, manufacturing, and other industrial verticals."

The new funding round was led by Fuel Ventures, a UK-based venture capital firm focused on enterprise software and AI. Intelligent Core plans to use the capital to accelerate product development, expand its sales and marketing efforts, and further strengthen its partnerships with industrial customers.
